Account Supervisors at Tailfin are the face of the work for our clients, and the quarterbacks of our projects. They create relationships, manage scope, and solve problems. They are experts at understanding the individual steps that all add up to the big goal we’re trying to achieve.
Accountabilities and KPIs:
- Support key AOR clients and project-based clients; Manage work independently, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery while meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Consistently provide clarity and confidence to clients across all touchpoints, becoming their go-to source for answers and guidance
- Foster strong collaboration and trust with cross-functional teammates in order to lead work seamlessly through the agency

- 5-8 years of experience; we are open to hiring a strong Senior Account Manager as well
Job Functions & Requirements:
1. Works cross-functionally to create and implement outstanding work for our clients
- Translates client direction into inspiring and actionable briefs; has a strategic POV and ensures work remains on brief
- Fosters strong relationships within the agency across creative, strategy, project management and production counterparts
- Brings internal teams together to solve problems; runs productive meetings with clear agendas and outcomes
- Clearly communicates client feedback to the internal team and confidently manages misalignment between agency and client
- Maintains client feedback within Tailfin’s internal workflow management tools
- Maintains the behind-the-scenes details that keep projects moving, such as status documents and meeting note dissemination
- Understands the workflow process including resource management, timeline development, and project planning; partners well with a project-management counterpart
2. Plays an essential client leadership role that leads to successful projects and happy clients who keep coming back
- Serves as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear expectations and alignment
- Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting client relationships via consistent communication and a deep understanding of client needs
- Proactively addresses client concerns and resolves issues to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Confidently leads client meetings, building clear agendas, running meetings flawlessly, and ensuring next steps are clear and actionable
3. Owns project-level financial health and performance, including:
- Tracks client budgets to maintain profitability across all assigned accounts; proactively identify potential scope creep and flag risks
- Consistently manage up on budget health and make recommendations on how to address budget concerns
- Support the Account Director in budget health conversations with clients
- Develop project estimates and scopes of work
- Keep all internal finance systems up to date and accurate
- Monitor billing schedules and ensure timely invoicing
- Support senior leadership in quarterly and annual revenue planning, reporting, and client profitability reviews
Hybrid Office
We believe there are real benefits that come both with in-person collaboration and heads-down, focused remote work. At Tailfin, we come into the office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Mondays and Fridays are more flexible.
